Oramaque Property - 26 claims, 212.6 hectares, BourlamaqueTownship
-Project Summary

The Oramaque property lies to the east of and adjacent to the Orenada property and, as such, is underlain by the same geology as Orenada; namely, disseminated to high grade gold hosted in the Cadillac break. In addition, highly deformed gabbro, basalt and interflow sediments host high grade gold with copper mineralization at the Hogg Zone north of the break, within the contact aureole of the Centre Post intrusion.

At the Hogg Zone, historical trenches and drill holes have yielded assay results such as 16.75 g/t Au and 0.51% Cu over 4.3 m, 11.88 g/t Au and 0.64% Cu over 3.0 m, 3.04 g/t Au and 0.17% Cu over 16.2 m, and 8.28 g/t Au and 0.23% Cu over 3.0 m. In 2007, Alexandria  completed four drill holes testing the extension of mineralization at the Hogg Zone, intersecting up to 4.84 g/t Au and 0.33% Cu over 0.90 m,  5.67 g/t Au and 0.83% Cu over 0.50 m, and 1.31 g/t Au and 0.23% Cu over 4.5 m.

More recent exploration by a previous operator included ground geophysics, mapping, sampling and drilling, aimed at delineating the Hogg Showing and several gold-copper skarn occurrences. Results include 343 grams gold and 1.68% copper over a 1-metre channel sample, and 21.2 grams gold, 0.56% copper and 12.59 grams silver from recent drilling.

Click to enlargeAlexandria launched a first-phase drilling program at Oramaque in 2007, and in March reported a new discovery along a stretch of the Cadillac Break with limited previous exploration. The discovery hole, AAX-07-09, intersected 16.97 metres (14.02 metres true width) grading 1.47 g/t gold. New sampling extended this to 0.95 g/t gold over 23.84 metres, which includes several higher grade intervals: 13.23 g/t gold over 1 metre; 7.24 g/t gold over 1 metre; and 6.84 g/t gold over 2 metres.

The first four holes drilled at Oramaque tested the Hogg Showing, where previous operators had identified significant gold mineralization, and all returned gold and copper values. Hole AAX-07-04 returned 1.08 g/t gold and 0.13% copper over 7.64 metres, including 3.45 g/t gold and 0.16% copper over 0.49 metre and 3.23 g/t gold and 0.03% copper over 0.81 metre (true widths). The first three holes returned: 5.67 g/t gold and 0.83% copper over 0.50 metre; 1.77 g/t gold and 1.20% copper over 0.85 metre; and 4.84 g/t gold and 0.33% copper over 0.81 metre.

Hole AAX-07-05, drilled about 70 metres down-dip from an historic hole that intersected 45 metres grading 0.57 g/t gold, yielded two separate, wide, gold-bearing zones within the Cadillac Break. The upper northern zone grades 0.32 g/t gold over a drilled width of 20.5 metres (10.49 metres true width). The lower southern zone grades 0.38 g/t gold over a drilled width of 29.8 metres (15.25 metres true width). Another hole (07-7) drilled 500 metres further along the Break returned values below 1 g/t gold, except for a 1.05-metre interval grading 2.5 g/t gold.

These drill results are from an extended first phase program to test targets in and around the Break on the Oramaque and Orenada properties.
